The Unique service in a Banglalink
package
Now a day’s one
of the most booming as well as the most competitive business in Bangladesh is
the telecommunication business in the mobile phone industry. Grameen is the
market leader followed by Banglalink, Aktel, Warid, Citycell and Teletalk. .Banglalink
is holding the second position so no doubt they are the biggest competitor for
Grameen to replace their position and establish them as the number one
telecommunication industry in Bangladesh.
One of the ways Banglalink can become number one is by gaining more and more
customer. In order to do that Banglalink needs to provide more attractive
services in order to attract more customers. So a new business idea which is a
unique service in a Banglalink package can help Banglalink to gain more
attention of customers in order to increase market share. This new business
idea or unique service is “25% bonus
minutes will be given for both incoming and outgoing calls made in a month and
bonus minutes can be used to any mobile operator.”
Justification why the service is
profitable
Bonus minutes is
very useful because not only it saves people’s money (to make call you need to
spend certain amount of money but you don’t have to if you have bonus
minutes) but also you can make call even
if you don’t have balance in your account makes it more attractive as well as
useful to the customers. As most of the customers in this country belongs to
middle class or poor, so anything which saves their cost or get anything for
free is highly being liked or appreciated by them. 25% bonus for making both
incoming and outgoing call will give them a good amount of bonus every month
for which they definitely get attracted and new or other operator customers
will buy Banglalink simcard as well as the existing customers subscribe to use
this service. This will result a good amount of profit that is why this
business idea of the unique service worth of profit. That is why this service
is going to benefit Banglalink greatly in order to gain profit, increase market
share to establish them more strongly in this competitive business.
Business Process
As this package
is unique and so far no one had offered it, so first of all what I need to do
is to make the promotion of this service in
such a manner that it gains attention of the target market, existing
customers & if possible, the other customers also. Business process starts
with the customer need & these bonus minutes is definitely a need for the
customers because it saves a lot of money for making call and also is a great
help to maintain communication when you do not have enough credit in your
balance.
Since the
service is new in the Banglalink package, so a huge amount of money can be
gained if subscription fee of 5 taka can be implemented for the existing
customers to enjoy the 25% bonus minutes for outgoing calls to any mobile
operator which will be gained from both incoming and outgoing calls in a month.
As the subscription fee is quite low, so out of 1crore plus customer it can be
estimated that over 30 lakh customer will subscribe in this package or may be
even more will automatically give a
minimum of 1 crore 50 lakh taka instantly will be used for the advertisement
purpose. Advertisement will be given in the form of billboards, Television
advertisement, newspaper ads, magazine ads & also in the internet in the
Banglalink’s website, the way it is given in a regular basis.
To attract the
new buyers, this service will automatically be offered along with the other
services that are being offered in the package. Basically if bonus given for
both incoming, outgoing calls then most people will get around 50 minutes
minimum and maximum can reach about 200 plus minutes which can be used to call
to other operators and 50 bonus minute worth around 100 taka or more so people
will definitely like it as anything given for free is highly appreciated in
Bangladesh. Also as our country is ranked among the poor countries in the world
and most of the customers in this country are middle class or poor. So it can
easily be forecasted that people will get attracted with this new service idea
and will buy the product as the tendency of lowering the cost tends to
concentrate more on them. In case of the customers of other product, this
attractive service will encourage customers of other product to switch to
Banglalink specially the middle class or poor class group due to the bonus
minute as the bonus given in other operator is not much and mostly other
operator give bonus if people recharge but in case of this service its
basically free as it is given for the incoming and outgoing of the month, not
for any recharge makes the service more and more attractive for the customers
of other product.
Another benefit of this service is, this
service will also encourage the customer to talk a bit more in order to gain
more and bonus minutes thus, prove to be profitable for Banglalink. The reason
why it will be profitable is more and more money will be gained as the amount
of recharge increases due to increase amount of time spending on talking. In
the last few years it is seen that any kind of service for which you get
benefitted for increasing the amount of usage resulted positively so in this
service it can also be predicted that the usage of people will increase after
this service is launched. Another major purpose of business process is add more
value so this service is definitely adding more value to the Banglalink package
as it is making Banglalink package more and more attractive thus, fulfilling
the purpose of the business process.
So the service
will help Banglalink to attract new customers, also customers of other product
to switch to Banglalink will help Banglalink to increase the market share, gain
more customer will result to more expansion of business and also by
subscription a huge amount of money will be gained from the existing customers.
This new service
will be installed in all the existing customers and the money that will be
needed to install this service will be retrieved from existing customers and
also from increased number of customers. The moment all the money spent to
implement this unique service is retrieved, profit generating will start.
